Broadway Under The Stars (Featuring the song “Everything”)

From The Press Democrat:

The Transcendence Theatre Company, returning for its seventh annual Broadway Under the Stars outdoor concert series in Glen Ellen, continually aims to make its newest season the best ever.

“We always mix it up. We always throw in some surprises,” said Stephan Stubbins, the theater company’s co-executive director, “and this is going to be a fun summer.”

The first of the four shows to be presented this summer is titled “Stairway to Paradise.” The song and dance revue opens Friday and it literally has “Everything.”

That’s the name of a new song featured in the show, written by Mark Beynon of Santa Rosa and Joe Label of Novato, and inspired by the story of Beynon’s daughter, Jordin Cirner, and her family, who lost their Santa Rosa home in last October’s wildfires. The songwriters and the Cirners will attend the red carpet opening at Jack London State Historic Park.

The song “Everything” (that I wrote with Joe Label) is inspired by my daughter Jordin Cirner, her husband Mike and two children Rilyn and Reid. They lost their dream home to the devastating Northern California wild fires. Jordin’s story is like so many others therefore Joe and I hope this song may offer some comfort and if you are so inclined to make a donation to the victims we deeply thank you.

"Recently I was introduced to BackporcH acoustic guitars and find that the sound/tone and playability of these guitars is excellent.

To me this translates to heightened inspiration when writing songs!

I am presently playing a BackporcH Red Cedar top with Rosewood back and sides (Dred model) - the sound on this guitar is extremely balanced, warm yet pleasingly bright.

I also have a BackporcH (Ebony finish) - Engelmann Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides beautifully trimmed with Mahogany binding (Jumbo model) - this may be the best looking guitar I have ever laid eyes on."
